Jennifer Rucktaeschel began her journey at Explorers on March 28, 2022, as a Member Services Representative II. We are excited to officially share that as of January of 2026, Jennifer transitioned into her new role as a New Account Guide.

Jennifer has been an active volunteer with Yankton’s Riverboat Days since 2022, serving three years as Secretary and an additional two years as a board member. She has also been deeply involved at Restore Church since 2022, volunteering with the Finance Team, Kids Ministry, Wrap Team, and the Foster Family Groups.

Jennifer is the proud mom of three children: Zach, who is married to Chasity and lives in Wessington Springs; Hunter, who resides in Florida; and Alyza, who lives with her in Yankton. She is also blessed with two grandchildren – her 2 year old grandson, Beckam, and Dallas, her 5 month old granddaughter –  and is excited to welcome another grandbaby arriving in November. 

Originally from Colorado, Jennifer completed her associate’s degree in Business Arts at Front Range Community College in Colorado. She moved to South Dakota in 2000 (and still jokingly asks herself why she chose somewhere so cold). Since then, she has relocated six times within the state.

Jennifer loves spending time with her family and friends. In the summer, you can often find her at county fairs going to all the country concerts with her daughter. She enjoys crocheting, relaxing on the water or around a bonfire, and traveling to explore new places. She is also an avid football fan – especially when it comes to cheering on the Denver Broncos.

Volunteering at her church is something she truly values. She believes in taking leaps of faith, knowing that new experiences can make a meaningful impact on both yourself and those around you. She also believes in getting to know members on a personal level, learning what they enjoy and what’s happening in their lives, because you never know what meaningful opportunities can grow from those connections.
