Large Turnout at Shred Day

At our bi-annual Shred Day on May 16, community members were invited to drop off documents at our Yankton branch for shredding. This year, we shredded a record-high 7,060lb of paper.

In return for shredding documents, we asked for donations of cash or non-perishable food for area food pantries. Those who donated did not disappoint. We collected $712 and 680 lbs of food.

Our next Shred Day is scheduled for Wednesday, October 17 from 1 PM to 6 PM. We do have a few housekeeping items:

  • Limit of four boxes
  • No trash, cardboard, or plastic mixed with paper
  • No binder clips
  • No spiral bound notebooks
  • No rolled receipt paper or calculator tape
  • No moldy or wet documents
