The Services Center Federal Credit Union Nominating Committee has submitted the following candidates for two (2) 3-year terms on the Board of Directors:
Jon Economy
Jon spent 33 years with 1st National Bank Omaha and is since retired. During his tenure at 1st National Bank Omaha, Jon gained knowledge as a collector, tech support and used that knowledge in his supervisor/manager rolls.
Jon is married to his lovely wife Jeannine and together they have two children, Lyndsay and Jonathon. The are proud grandparents of Lyndsay’s (husband, Luke) four children and Jonathon’s (wife, Britany) two children. Outside of spending time with his friends and family, Jon enjoys our beautiful Yankton outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, boating and golfing.
Jon is a proud member of Services Center Federal Credit Union and, as such, has enjoyed our competitive rates, along with our delivery of excellent member service. Jon feels as a Board of Director and his past work experience, he can offer valuable insight and guide the credit union in meeting and setting future goals.
Mark Brannen
After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy at NW Missouri State University, Mark has enjoyed working with conservation and agriculture throughout his life. His USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) employment took him to several states until Mark officially retired as the District Conservationist for Yankton County in 2016. Mark is thankful for the opportunity to have worked in different cities and states. The location he is most thankful for (outside of Yankton, of course) is Alaska as that is where he met his wife of 28 years, Kim.
With family and friends scattered from Canada to Colorado and Tennessee to Texas, Mark and Kim enjoy traveling to maintain connections and celebrate events. When they find themselves at home, they enjoy bowling, golfing, growing grapes for wine making, and flying radio controlled airplanes.
Reinvesting in our community, clubs and individuals is what Mark enjoys most about Services Center Federal Credit Union. The personal atmosphere and the courteous service they have received with their home and vehicle loans has impressed Mark and Kim. Capitalizing on this, Mark would like to assist SCFCU in furthering the credit union philosophy.
