As a way to make life better for all of our friends, family and neighbors throughout the area, SCFCU planted 1,600 drink coasters at local Yankton businesses: Ben’s Brewing Company, Charlie’s Pizza House, River’s Edge Restaurant & Lounge, and Rock Bottom Beers & Burgers. The community was invited to find a coaster, bring it back to any Services Center FCU branch location and SCFCU would donate $5 per coaster received to the United Way of Greater Yankton. We are thankful and proud to donate $1,500.00 to the United Way of Greater Yankton on behalf of our members.
“United Way does so many amazing things for our community and are the true definition of making everyday magic happen! The Unicorn Coasters were just a fun way of engaging with the community and bringing awareness of the everyday needs that exist in the Greater Yankton Area. River’s Edge was truly honored to be a part of the SCFCU fundraiser,“ stated Brittany Trimble, owner of River’s Edge at the Landing.
The #EverydayMagic unicorn coasters were distributed August until the end of September.
“There is no end to the good we can accomplish when we come together as a community,” stated April Tompkins, CEO of Services Center Federal Credit Union. “We are proud to have this opportunity to give back to an organization that makes such an impact within our communities and are grateful to the local establishments assisting us in making #EverydayMagic.”
