Services Center Federal Credit Union (SCFCU) of Yankton, SD, is pleased to announce the promotion of April Tompkins as the credit union’s new Chief Executive Officer.
“The Board of Directors is excited to promote April to this leadership role. Her extensive experience with Services Center FCU and demonstrated success will be instrumental in continuing Services Center FCU’s commitment to the financial needs of our community,” stated Board of Directors Chair person, Stephan Anderson.
Tompkins brings a proven track record of leadership and strategic vision, critically important to continue Services Center FCU’s history of growth and exceptional member services. April has been on the Services Center FCU’s team for nine years, with the last three serving as the Chief Operating Officer. During her SCFCU career, Services Center FCU has grown to serve members in over 18 counties in South Dakota and Nebraska, she has been instrumental in launching new technology and products to the credit union offerings, as well as grow the credit union in asset size to $70 million.
When asked about her new position, Tompkins stated, “I am excited for the opportunity to lead Services Center Federal Credit Union and a team that is passionate about our members, each other, the community, and the mission of the Credit Union.”
Tompkins has been a life-long resident of Yankton, South Dakota. She serves as Secretary on the area non-profit St. Johns Preschool Board, and shares her love of financial education by tutoring in the Math is Fun Program offered in local elementary schools. April spends her free time reading and enjoying all our community has to offer with her husband, Keith, and two daughters, Keira and Adalynn.
