Explorers Credit Union is excited to announce the opening of our new branch located at 730 East 1st Street, Tea, South Dakota. This branch will be offering lobby hours by appointment and drive up hours 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday-Friday and 8:30 am – Noon on Saturdays.
As soon as all explorers complete their task of staying home to protect our community, we will schedule a grand opening/community celebration. Watch our website, ExplorersCU.com, for details on a virtual grand opening scheduled for May 2020.
“We are very much looking forward to the opportunity to serve our existing and new members as well as the Tea community through this updated branch,” commented Explorers Credit Union CEO April Tompkins. “Additionally, we are proud to be contributing to the economic revitalization of the area by updating an existing structure that has been vacant since 2015.”
The project entailed a renovation of the existing structure located at 730 East 1st Street. In addition to the member service area of the new branch, the branch will also feature private member spaces in which to discuss their finances. There will also be a designated office for a Dakota Financial Services agent. Explorers Credit Union has hired a branch manager, assistant Branch Manager, and two Member Services Representatives to guide members toward their financial goals.
Design and remodeling on the project began in March of 2020 by Perspective, Inc in Sioux Falls.
