We’re MOVING Over to a New Chapter on Our Journey!
Pack your bags, Explorers — we’re moving into the future (literally)!
April 7, 2025 | Yankton, SD
- 🚧 On Monday, April 14th, members will be free to enter the credit union through our front, main entrance and park in the front parking lot! To ensure everything is running smoothly in our new space, our Yankton branch lobby and drive-up will open at 11:00 AM as we officially move into our brand-new addition!
This will not effect our Tea, Springfield, and Parkston locations and they will open at their regular times.

How We Got Here: The Renovation Backstory
It all started on March 20th, 2024, when the first beams were raised and blueprints turned into something bigger. Over the past year, our Yankton branch has been under construction — not just building a structure, but building possibilities.
Project Highlights Include:
This isn’t just a move — it’s a milestone. It’s a celebration of how far we’ve come together, and a bold step toward the future of member-focused service. From our early days as a small credit union formed by employees of the Yankton State Hospital in 1962, to now serving over 9,000 members across 30 counties, this moment represents growth, evolution, and a commitment to doing more for you.

This isn’t Explorers Credit Union’s first renovation journey. In the 1980s, back when we were still known as Services Center FCU, a renovation helped accommodate a growing membership then, just like this one does now.
- And just like then, we’re doing this for you — our members — so you can enjoy better service, more room to connect, and a space built with your financial adventure in mind.
The Next Phase
As mentioned our Yankton branch will open a little later than usual — at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 14th. We appreciate your continued patience during our addition phase. We are excited to kick-off the next phase of our renovation project and begin the remodel process of our existing building.
