Greetings!
I hope you and yours had a safe and enjoyable holiday season.
As a member of Explorers Credit Union, you play an important role in our organization. One of the ways you do that is by voting in our annual Board of Directors election.
If you’re interested in taking a more active role, I invite you to consider serving on our Board Nominating Committee. This committee helps identify qualified candidates for the upcoming Board election. If this opportunity interests you, please reply and let us know—we’d love to hear from you.
What Is the Board Nominating Committee?
At Explorers Credit Union, membership means ownership. One of the ways members help guide the future of the credit union is by participating in the Board Nominating Committee.
The Nominating Committee is a small group of members who help identify and recommend qualified candidates to run for our Board of Directors. This process helps ensure our Board remains strong, capable, and representative of the membership it serves.
What Does Serving Involve?
Serving is a short-term volunteer commitment and includes:
• Reviewing board eligibility criteria
• Considering interested or recommended candidates
• Submitting a slate of qualified nominees for the annual election
• No prior board or financial experience is required—just a commitment to fairness and confidentiality.
Who Can Serve?
You must be:
• A member in good standing
Serving on the Nominating Committee is a meaningful way to support the future of your credit union. Because here, membership means ownership—and your voice matters. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please reach out to me by Friday, January 16th.
