Growing Together:
Cassie’s Journey at Explorers

At Explorers Credit Union, we believe every journey is worth celebrating—especially the ones that happen right here within our team. Today, we’re proud to spotlight Cassie Luttrell, who has been on an incredible growth path since joining Explorers in January 2021.

Cassie took a leap of faith when she left her factory job to join Explorers as a Member Service Representative I. It didn’t take long for her dedication and positive energy to shine through. After two years, she earned a promotion to MSR II, and her hard work and commitment to our members propelled her forward again—this time to MSR III.

Her story is a perfect example of how determination and a passion for people can lead to big opportunities.

Rooted in South Dakota

Born and raised in the tiny town of Bristol, Cassie grew up attending school in Groton before her family moved to Yankton in 2011. A graduate of Yankton High School’s Class of 2014, Cassie is proud to call Yankton home today. She lives here with her husband, Max, and their three children—Theodore, Charlie, and Rose.

When she’s not serving members, you can often find Cassie at the library with her kids. An avid reader, she loves getting lost in a good book and sharing that love of reading with her family.

A Member Helping Members

Cassie’s connection to Explorers runs deep. In fact, she was a member of the credit union long before she became an employee. That perspective has shaped the way she serves others. Luttrell stated,

“Through the years, Explorers has really helped me grow both as an employee and a member myself. I’ve been a member of the Credit Union longer than I’ve been an employee! They’ve taught me how to better my credit and save my money, and I’ve been able to extend that knowledge to our members. It’s a fun full circle opportunity, really. Through all the changes the credit union has gone through, I’m honored to be here for it all and eager to see where we continue to grow!”

Cassie’s journey is a reminder of what makes Explorers Credit Union special—growth, support, and a commitment to helping members (and employees!) reach their goals. We’re excited to see where her journey takes her next and grateful to have her as part of our team.
