Explorers Gets Ready to Rock the Rock‑a‑Thon!

The Center’s 12th Annual Rock‑a‑Thon is almost here, and Explorers Credit Union is ready to rock for a purpose! This year, our very own CFO, Juliet de Shazer, will represent Explorers as our Featured Rocker in the friendly “Rockin’ For Meals” competition.
This festive event is happening Tuesday, March 17th from 10:00 AM–1:15 PM at 900 Whiting Drive – with Juliet partaking as one of the featured rockers from 12:15pm to 12:30 pm. Each year, this energetic fundraiser brings together local leaders, friendly competitors, and generous community members to support a mission that matters: eradicating senior hunger.
And this year, Explorers Credit Union is rocking even harder—because our very own CFO, Juliet de Shazer, is stepping into the spotlight as our Featured Rocker!
Meet Explorers CU’s Featured Rocker: Juliet de Shazer
Anyone who knows Juliet knows she brings passion, purpose, and a whole lot of spark to everything she does, and this event is no exception! Rumor has it that if you stop by the Rock‑a‑Thon on March 17th… you might catch a glimpse of an elusive Explorers leprechaun – rockin’ her heart out!
Representing Explorers in the “Battle of the Rockers” at 12:15 PM–12:30 PM, Juliet will go head‑to‑head (or rocker‑to‑rocker!) with Kevin Moe of FNBO, Lacey Jensen of First Interstate Bank, and Tyler Buckman of First Dakota – to raise funds, rally support, and shine a light on a good cause!
Juliet’s enthusiasm for community involvement is part of what makes her such a standout leader at Explorers – and we couldn’t be more proud to cheer her on.

Want to help Juliet bring home the Top Rocker Award and secure some serious braggin’ rights for Explorers? Donations can be made at any Explorers Credit Union location now through March 17th, online at www.thecenter.net, or in person at the Rock-a-thon event.
Every dollar helps feed Yankton seniors through hot, homemade, nutritious meals—and every donation counts toward boosting Juliet’s fundraising goals!
Funds raised through the Rock‑a‑Thon directly support the Meals on Wheels program and the larger March for Meals campaign.
Why We Rock: Supporting Meals on Wheels
The Rock‑a‑Thon is part of the national March for Meals campaign, drawing attention to senior hunger and raising funds for hot, nutritious, homemade meals delivered to Yankton’s older adults. These meals do more than nourish—they offer independence, dignity, and a friendly wellness check from volunteers.
