Questions Along the Trail
“Why do you need such a big building?” It’s a question I’ve heard more than once as we’ve been working through our building remodel, and it is a fair question!
When most people think of a credit union, they picture tellers at the counter or loan officers helping members reach their financial goals. What they may not realize is just how many people it takes behind the scenes to make those services possible.
A Fresh Look at the Drive-Up
We’ve also heard feedback from members about our drive-up experience, and I want you to know, we’re on it! We’re improving the drive-up experience to include:
These improvements are part of our commitment to making every member interaction, whether in the lobby or from the car, more convenient and connected.
People Behind the Progress
Our new building isn’t just about space (although it does give us ample room). It’s about supporting the full scope of what we do. It will house offices for:
• Accounting
• Information Technology
• Human Resources
• Marketing
• Operations
• Administration
• Risk Management & Compliance
• Facilities Management
• And more!
Building for Collaboration, Innovation, and Growth
These teams work quietly and diligently to ensure our systems run smoothly, our people are supported, our brand is strong, and our members are protected.
Today, our Explorers team includes 30 full-time employees, and 12 of them work primarily behind the scenes. That means nearly half of our staff are working to support the front line and ensure our credit union delivers safe, reliable, and empowering financial services.
So to answer the question, yes, we need the space, not just for desks and offices, but for collaboration, innovation, and growth. This remodel is an investment in our people, our members, and our future.
Thanks for being part of the journey!
