If you were anywhere near Yankton during Riverboat Days, you probably saw the Explorers Credit Union crew in action, we were hard to miss!
This year, our team took on the challenge of manning not one, but two beverage shelters, and thanks to the incredible dedication of our volunteers, we raised over $16,000 to support this beloved community event. That’s not just a number, it’s a testament to the power of teamwork, generosity, and a whole lot of hustle.
We battled 90+ degree heat, stayed upbeat through Sunday’s surprise rain, and kept the energy high from start to finish. Whether we were quenching thirst serving up ice cold water, or dancing through the downpour, our team showed up with heart and grit.
And we didn’t stop there. We also handed out candy and explorers gear in the Riverboat Days parade, waving to familiar faces and celebrating the spirit of Yankton. From the Explorers Credit Union Main Stage, we handed out t-shirts and high-fives, making sure our presence was felt, and our mission was shared: empowering people on their financial journey.
I couldn’t be prouder of our crew. They showed what it means to be an Explorer! They leaned in, stepped up, and made a difference. Riverboat Days isn’t just an even, it’s a reflection of the community we serve and the values we live by.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, cheered us on, or stopped by to say hello. You helped us turn a hot, rainy weekend into a celebration of connection, commitment, and community.
Here’s to raising the bar, raising funds, and raising spirits, one Riverboat Day at a time!
Be sure to check out some of the photo highlights from the weekend!
